PUBLIC DANCE!!!

PUBLIC DANCE!!!

Public dancing in the name of ibadah (worship) or with the hope of earning reward from Allah is a serious mistake and a waste of time.

Islam has made it clear that such acts are not part of the DEEN, and common sense also rejects them.

In today’s world of social media, it has become easy for anyone to record themselves dancing at home and display it to the whole world with just a few clicks. Sadly, many have fallen into this trap, especially our sisters by neglecting the guidance of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Allah ﷻ says:
And do not display yourselves as was the display of the former times of ignorance.” (Qur’an 33:33)

This ayah reminds believing women to preserve their dignity and avoid exposing themselves unnecessarily. Here, Islam calls on women to maintain modesty, avoid unnecessary interaction with men, and protect themselves from harm. But instead, some are choosing to reveal their bodies and promote themselves with what we call 'I don't care habit'.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Modesty (Hayaa or Kunya) is part of faith.” (Sahih Muslim, 35)

Unfortunately, today, some even try to justify public dancing in the name of religion, moving to music and presenting it as harmless or even spiritual. This is not Islam. It contradicts the teachings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and misrepresents the pure image of our faith.

We must remember: Ibadah is about sincerity, humility, and submission, not entertainment.

May Allah protect us from innovations and guide us to follow the Qur’an and Sunnah with sincerity.
