EYE OPENER... (SIWES)

Alhamdulillah!
I was not just introduced to the Center for Bioresources; I was introduced to a wonderland of science. It is a place where waste is utilized to produce valuable products, where the seemingly impossible becomes possible. This place is teeming with opportunities for those who are ready to embrace them.

In this world of science, good researchers and hardworking scientists work diligently to harness the potential of bioresources, finding creative ways to transform waste into valuable materials. Through their efforts, they contribute to sustainable practices, resource conservation, and the development of eco-friendly alternatives.

Being introduced into this realm of science is full of responsibilities, dedication of time and energy as well as money (transportation, especially for students like me), curiosity, and a willingness to push the boundaries of what is known. It offers the chance to make meaningful contributions and be part of groundbreaking advancements that can impact lives on a global scale...

In this world of science, dreams are transformed into reality, and ideas have the potential to change the Nigerian world...

We spent weeks in different divisions, and we became familiar with some terminology like Pond, dyke, topography, Balami, Humidity chamber, micro and macropropagation, tissue culture, toxicity, extraction, LD50 etc... Despite some pupils are complaining that some divisions are not related to our field of study, I always answered "As a Zoology student you need to know something from everything as per as science is concerned..."
